FG Disburses Loans to Over 4,000 GEEP MarketMoni Beneficiaries in Edo State

Edo State has now recorded over 4,000 beneficiaries of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme, GEEP. This was revealed on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at the State’s edition of Micro, Small and Medium-Scale Enterprise (MSME) Clinic. GEEP is one of the National Social Intervention Programmes (NSIP) of the current administration, providing interest-loans of between N10,000 and N100,000 to market women, farmers, artisans and enterprising youths nationwide. NCC uncovers large volume of forceful and illegal deductions by Network providers, set to order refund to consumers

As a consumer-centric regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission has noted with great displeasure the unacceptably high level of consumer complaints in respect of forceful subscriptions to Value-Added Services (VAS), as well as airtime deductions for these subscriptions. The Commission mandated several initiatives to tackle the menace.These include the institution of a comprehensive investigation and resolution process, the Do-not-Disturb (DND) facility, and the imposition of sanctions for breach.
